A fact I'm glad of.

He wishes he could say she'd experienced a similar uptick in happiness, but he's learned by now that it's not to be.

He doesn't know what to do when he's happy. Some days he can't even be sure he knows how to smile properly.

But he's happy.

You can tell he likes you, he actually cares what you think.

Doesn't he care too much what EVERYONE thinks, though?

I'm glad he's happy, though. And that he likes me.

Sort of, but, mostly if they have a Navy uniform or understand ships.

And possibly the librarian, with the amount of books he goes through.


But he doesn't have two hour long nervous conversations with me over WHAT DO THEY LIKE/WOULD THIS BE OKAY/HOW DO YOU PERSON about anyone else.

And oh, goodness. Does he still take that all to you? I'd hoped I'd gotten him to feel better about asking me by now.

I'm sure not all of it, but I don't mind, Archie. He's happy, he wants to make you happy. It's no sin, and not a burden.

I'm glad to hear it. It's just that I don't like thinking I make him nervous or anxious, you know.

It's a good kind of nervous, trust me. I saw him while he was waiting to get into the Navy.

That was nerves.

I'm not sure you should thank me, this means I'm technically responsible for him always being at sea.

Maybe, but. He IS happy out there, so.

Literally the only reason I didn't tie him to a chair and leave him there.

wouldn't he have probably been able to breakout eventually, anyways? since he knows how to do all the knots?

Could've just sat on him, he doesn't know what to do when he's all flustered. Not even his knots.

Besides, I know them all too. He can't outfox me.

This is all very true. I'll keep that in mind next time he's trying to run off when I want him to stay put.

I think in your case, leaning too close or kissing him would also work.

Of course, if you tied him to a chair and sat on him he may well just die from blushing...

I never did see for myself on that count.

I'm kind of glad you didn't, and probably won't for a while.

Mostly because I'm still not entirely unconvinced that won't end with him having a heart attack or something.

I think if he was going to have a heart attack over me it would've been the first time he noticed I was indeed a girl when we were like 13 or something. He's more robust than he seems.

And maybe let you know vaguely how it goes, if it ends up being something we do.
